Residents at HC-One’s Waterside care home in Tipton celebrated the patron saint of Ireland last week.
St Patrick’s Day marks the passing of St Patrick, a 4th century priest who took Christianity to Ireland. Every year thousands of people worldwide celebrate the day by wearing green and enjoying an Irish tipple.
Everyone gathered to watch a performance from Liz Ryder, a beautiful singer and guitar player, Residents enjoyed singing and dancing along to traditional Irish music. The day was extra special for one Resident, Mary Walker, who is originally from Ireland and moved to England with the love of her life and raised her family here.
