St David’s Church brightens up Residents’ day at Pencoed care homeA group of ladies from St David’s Church in Pencoed brightened up the day for Residents at Glanffrwd care home with a lovely donation of daffodils.

Julie Jenkins, a representative at the church, arrived at the home with bunches of daffodils to give to the Residents to mark the beginning of spring.

The Residents were so thankful for the special gesture, with many commenting on how much the flowers had brightened up their bedrooms.

One Resident commented: “We are so lucky to have such a close community here in Pencoed. The flowers are beautiful.”

Joan Thomas, Home Manager, said: “Seeing the reactions to such a lovely surprise from the church was so heart-warming. The Residents were really grateful.

“Pencoed is such a lovely and close community, with everyone looking after each other. We’ve been overwhelmed by the local support we’ve received here.”
