St Andrews care home remembers fallen heroes on Remembrance DayResidents and team members from HC-One’s Balnacarron care home in St Andrews paid their respects to fallen heroes on Remembrance Day.

Remembrance Day is observed by members of the Commonwealth of Nations to remember members of the military and armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

Residents welcomed visitors from the British Army Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, everyone listened to their memories and thanked them for their service. A bag pipe performance was enjoyed by all and Residents shared their memories of the war.

Gemma Gordon, Balnacarron Home Manager said: “We’d like to extend our thanks to everyone who joined us in remembering the selfless sacrifice of our fallen heroes.

“Some of our Residents have lost loved ones during different conflicts so it was a cathartic experience for them to remember and pay their respects.”
