Throughout December, Residents at HC-One’s
Springwater Lodge care home, in Nottingham, which offers residential and nursing care, as well as residential memory care, have been getting into the full swing of Christmas!
On 1st December, the Christmas trees arrived at the home and Wellbeing Coordinator, Kelly, put them up with the help of Residents who helped to ‘fluff up’ the trees and decorate them with tinsel and baubles.
Accompanied by a glass of Baileys and some Christmas songs, it was a wonderful activity for David, Betty and June, Jean and Collin.
All involved decided they wanted a star putting at the top. And the finished results looked beautiful.
One Resident said, “I’ve never seen a tree so big!”
On Monday 13th December Pam, who lives at the home, asked for a gingerbread house to decorate. Colleagues made a small house and brought it in with lots of sweets to decorate it with,
Pam, along with fellow Resident David, had lots of fun decorating he gingerbread house with a cup of tea and some biscuits.
Pam joked, “I would like to live in this house!”
Kelly added, “The Residents particularly enjoyed eating the leftover chocolate! What a fun activity.”
