Residents at
Finavon Court, nursing and nursing dementia care home in Forfar, Angus, have had lots of fun this spring and here are just some of the activities they have been getting up too.
Isabella “Bunty” Forsyth, one of the lovely Residents has been helping Colleagues out with day-to-day tasks around the care home.
Bunty is known as a ‘supervisor’ upstairs and is always busy cleaning, tidying and helping out with small tasks. She doesn’t like to sit still.
One job Bunty has been enjoying is helping to set the tables and mealtimes, making sure each Residents has the correct cutlery and that the tables are perfectly set. She has even been encouraging other Residents to help out.
Bunty loves helping out and it has been great for Colleagues to see her smile and have fun whilst doing so.
On the 9th May, three Residents went on a trip to Hamewith Lodge care home in Aberdeen to meet some of the Residents and Colleagues and check out their hobby room.
The Residents went on a lovely train ride from Arbroath to Aberdeen and took the minibus along to Hamewith Lodge. On the train Bob, Greta and Les enjoyed a ice cold can of Irn Bru and some crisps. It was a lovely journey seeing the views of the countryside and seafront.
Great, commented, “I loved the train ride, it was so nice. I haven’t been on one for years and years.”
Claire Cameron, Care Home Manager, added, “It was lovely to see the Residents enjoy themselves on the train and enjoy visiting other homes.”
