Springtime baking at Greenways CourtResidents at Greenways Court, residential and residential dementia care home in Consett, love to bake and were excited to get creative in their latest baking session.

Maureen, Catherine, Nora, Jean, Pat and David decided to have a play around with different colours, to make beautiful shortbread flowers.

“I think they really catch your eye”, one of the Residents commented.

The biscuits were delicious, but they did not stick around long, everyone said they tasted very nice and looked amazing.

Whilst baking Residents put into practice their Active living sessions, where they stood for short burst of time. Colleagues have been encouraging the Residents as they have been having training sessions from Durham County Council.

David, said, “I love the colour of the biscuits they have turned out great.

Kinga Kowaliczek, Care Home Manager, added, “The Residents had a lovely time baking, it has really got them in the mood for spring.”
