Sponsored walk for Rose Court’s garden makeoverColleagues at HC-One’s Rose Court care home, in Radcliffe, Manchester, had planned a sponsored walk to raise money for the homes garden makeover. Due to the bad weather on 12th April, it had to be rearranged for the Colleagues and Residents to go another day. But one Relative braved the cold and raised a significant amount for the fund.

One lovely family member, Lizzy (pictured) still attended the sponsored walk and raised a total of £145.00 by herself! This will be such an amazing help towards the home’s garden make over.

Lizzy worn a t-shirt on the walk that was designed and made by Residents at Rose Court.

Lizzy said, “Whoop, whoop, whoop I made it!”

One of the Residents commented on how nice it was for Lizzy to walk on such an ill-weathered day. Everyone was so pleased with the help towards the garden makeover fund.

Allison Porter, Wellbeing Coordinator at Rose Court, commented, “The support that is being shown by family members has been amazing. A big thank you to everyone for the support.”

The new date for the walk is Wednesday 19th April which will be attended by both Colleagues and Residents.
