Spennymoor care home welcomes local community for national Care Home Open DayLothian House care home, on Clyde Terrace in Spennymoor – part of HC-One, the kind care company – opened its doors to the local community to celebrate the seventh annual Care Home Open Day. 

Care Home Open Day is a national event that gives local people the opportunity to learn more about the care services at the heart of their community. 

This year’s theme was ‘Celebrating Art in Care,’ with HC-One launching a national Art Competition to encourage, Residents, their loved ones, colleagues and neighbours to unleash their creativity and design their own masterpiece. 

Residents and members of the team at Lothian House were joined by pupils from North View Primary School, PCSO’s Helen and Emma as well as other guests from the local community. Live entertainment from performer, Paul Hall was enjoyed by all and some chose to take advantage of the summer sunshine in the garden.

Lothian House Home Manager, Jill Carr said: “Care Home Open Day is always a highly anticipated date in the social calendar at Lothian House, Residents are always happy to welcome some new and familiar faces for a fun-filled day.”
