Socially distanced family visits for Boston care home
Today was the first day of allowing families back to visit at Elmwood House care home and there have been many changes to what family visits were like pre-lockdown.

Home Manager, Michelle Pepworth, explains “We have to be super safe, clean and positive. With a clear two metre distance and supplies of masks, sanitizer etc. That being said we had a fabulous first day. We did window and gazebo visits and it was perfect. Everyone was overwhelmed with emotions”.

Families were very pleased with the lovely set up of a gazebo outside, just in case the typical British weather made an appearance! Everyone was so happy to see their loved ones and commented that they felt safe.

Resident Vera said that she loved seeing her daughter Heather and another Resident, Alan was finally able to see his wife, Phyllis, in person and not through the window.

These small but positive changes can really lift spirits for everyone.
