Everyone at
Rose Court care home, in Radcliffe, Manchester, got involved in deciding what they wanted in their new ‘Snug Room’ which was kindly renovated with the help of the UK's leading home furnishing retailer.
The local Dunelm store, also in Radcliffe, donated a staggering £2000 to Rose Court care home, to revamp a room. They made a ‘Sung Room’ where family members and Residents can go to relax or even read a book, in comfortable and stylish surroundings.
Residents at the 87-bed residential, nursing and dementia home were involved in picking the colour paint of the room and what items they wanted in there, alongside Home Manager, Leanne Batten-Smith. The home’s maintenance team and Dunelm was involved in decorating and fixing all the items together.
On 16th May was the grand opening of the new room, which was attended by Jolene, who is the Community Champion at Dunelm.
Mia (pictured) who is a Resident at Rose Court, posed for a photo in the room and commented on what a lovely, cosy room it is.
Allison Porter, Wellbeing Coordinator, remarked, “We are overwhelmed with the kind offer from Dunelm, allowing us to creative a space with the help from our Residents.”
