Daisy, one of the Residents at
Snapethorpe Hall in Wakefield which offers residential care, celebrated a very special birthday indeed…her 105
th birthday to be precise!
Colleagues had organised a lovely afternoon tea with her fellow Residents which was then followed by a family day out at the coast on her actual birthday.
One Colleague commented, “It was such a very special day for Daisy, we wanted to make it special for her”.
Daisy was especially pleased with her birthday cake and the official card which she received from the Queen, which she has proudly displayed in her room.
One Resident said, “It was lovely to share in the celebrations with Daisy and her afternoon tea!”
When asked what her secret was to long life, Daisy remarked, “Take each day as it comes and always hold your head high whatever life throws at you!”
John Cairnes, Care Home Manager said, “Daisy has had a really special couple of days and making new memories”.
