Snail racing fun for Residents at Grimsby care homeResidents and staff at Clarendon Hall care home took part in a silly snail race afternoon!

Laughter and cheers must have been heard across Grimsby today as the Residents spent the afternoon racing snails. Each of the snails had been created by the Residents in a previous craft event and were now ready to be raced!

The Residents lined up their snails with string attached, the first one to wind their string around the pot and bring the snail back home would be the winner. There were numerous heats and even the Colleagues at the home got involved too, with onlookers cheering everybody on.

The Benny Hill theme tune and William Tell Overture playing really added to the race, creating plenty of laughter and a great atmosphere for all.

One of the Residents commented ‘My snail looks drunk!’
