HC-One’s Melbury Court care home in Durham held a superhero day for Residents, friends, family and members of the care team.
For the day, people dressed as their favourite superhero and each member of the care team donated £1 to the Resident’s Comfort Fund. The team also organised a tombola and a raffle to help raise additional funds, which will be used to help transform the home’s garden at Melbury Court into a sensory garden for the Residents.
Melbury Court Home Manager, Nicola Coulson said: “What a lovely day at Melbury Court, everyone was in high spirits and we managed to raise an impressive £553 which will help us to create a beautiful sensory garden for Residents to enjoy.”
