Silverwood care home in Nottingham has paired up with Chilwell School, a local secondary school, to create this year’s Christmas card for the home.
Many pupils from the school entered their unique designs for the competition, with Residents from Silverwood judging the entries.
The Residents decided to crown Ruban, a Year 8 pupil, the winner, as they loved his design featuring Santa coming down the chimney near a very festive, decorated Christmas tree.
Ruban was awarded a special present for winning the competition, which was chosen and wrapped by the Residents.
One Resident commented: “We loved seeing all the entries from the pupils at Chilwell School, they all did a fantastic job.”
Debra Meynell, Home Manager at Silverwood, said: “Ruban did a fantastic job designing the Silverwood Christmas card! Our Residents really enjoyed seeing all the lovely entries from the school.”
