Residents at HC-One’s Silverwood care home in Nottingham have been enjoying some exciting recent activities.
Colleagues at the 80-bed care home, which offers residential, nursing and dementia care, took Residents on a trip to Nottingham’s Highfields Park, to visit the Luminarium installation.
Taking the tram together, the group was able to experience the different coloured lights and effects of the Luminarium, to the obvious enjoyment of Residents and their Relatives. Afterwards the group also took a walk around the park grounds to see the lake and ducks and to sample a delicious ice cream.
Also available for Residents last month was a pub quiz night, held in one of Silverwood’s popular communal lounge areas. A range of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments were on offer for contestants, who enjoyed an evening of lightly competitive and good-humoured quiz action. The night concluded with the award of a fruit platter to the victorious team.
Debra Meynell, Home Manager, said: “We have enjoyed organising these activities, and seeing the Residents so happy is a wonderful feeling.”
