Residents at HC-One’s Roxburgh House care home were delighted as they made the decision to visit a local market and do some shopping together.
Alongside Colleagues, the ladies visited the market at Black Heath, purchasing items of clothing and accessories in preparation for Christmas.
The visit was complete with a trip to the market’s café, as everyone enjoyed a home made meal together, some opting for a bacon sandwich, with others choosing sausage and chips.
Residents remarked at how much fun it was to look for bargain items for the Christmas period.
Linda Wilkes, home manager, commented: “It’s been wonderful to have such a lovely day today, the Residents have enjoyed purchasing their own items of choice.”
