Shoebox appeal brightens up the day at Malvern care homeResidents at Court House care home in Malvern were overjoyed to receive a kind donation from the local community this Christmas.

Colleagues at Court House were contacted by the charity committee at Dyson Perrins Church of England Academy to ask whether Residents would like to receive an extra present this Christmas.

Part of the charity’s shoebox appeal, Residents each received a shoebox filled with gifts and a handwritten Christmas note to open on Christmas morning.

Residents were thrilled to receive the kind donations, which aims to show the older generation that they are remembered by the community at Christmas.

One Resident commented: “It means a lot to be thought of by people in the local community at Christmas.”

Jane Pugh, Home Manager at Court House, said: “The shoebox appeal is such a fantastic gesture from the local community for our Residents. Thank you so much to everyone at Dyson Perrins for their kind and caring contribution.”
