Sheraton Court have been busy with 3D crafts and even have time for fish and chips! The Residents at Sheraton Court in Hartlepool which offers residential memory care, for those living with dementia, have been keeping busy with doing crafts and even had time for fish and chips!

The Residents have been enjoying being part of a project and have been contributing in making a 3D butterfly.
It took a while to complete as every Resident contributed in the making of it, and there were a lot of one to ones that took place during this time.

Once the ‘body’ of the butterfly took shape, everyone could see the idea behind it and when completed everyone who was involved really liked the result.

One Resident, commented, “Oh, it is lovely, so beautiful”.

Then on another day, four of the Residents from the home went out for a trip to Redcar and enjoyed fish and chips.

Whilst enjoying their fish and chips, it was lovely to hear them all chatting about when they lived in the area and reminisced about their school days.

Carole Thomson, Care Home Manager, commented, “It is always lovely to see the staff and Residents participate in activities together and see their accomplishments at the end.  We also encourage the Residents to get out and about when they can and enjoy the fresh air but also treats like fish and chips”.
