Sheffield care home Residents celebrate ‘Burns Night’Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Alexander Court in Sheffield celebrated Burns Night with a readout of some select Scottish poems.

Colleagues started the Burns Night celebrations with an afternoon of poetry reading from Robert Burns himself. Afterwards, Colleagues educated Residents on why people celebrate Burns Night and Residents showed an active interest on the history of the day and of Robert Burns.

Later in the day, Residents tried some Haggis during their tea and enjoyed a wee dram of Scotch whiskey.

Residents Tony Eton and Jean Conner really enjoyed the day and looking at the displays, ‘I just love the poem The Red, Red Rose, said Tony, a Resident at Alexander.
