Sheffield care home Colleagues raise money for Alzheimer’s Society on National Elf DayColleagues at HC-One’s Ascot Lodge care home in Sheffield raised money for the Alzheimer’s Society on National Elf Day, cheering up Residents and kickstarting the festivities in the process.

The event was arranged by Care Assistant Kate Robertson who was supported by her colleagues Adele, Mellissa, Chloe, Tracey, Martin and Lauren.  Throughout the day, Residents also joined in on the fun and made Christmas cards to send to Relatives and had their pictures took with the Elves.

Between them, Colleagues raised £617.00 with more donations due to come in the next few weeks. Everyone at the home would like to say thank you to all the Relatives who supported Colleagues on the day with donations to the Alzheimer’s society, which is such a wonderful cause.

Residents also really enjoyed the day, with one telling a member of staff that the cards they made were “the most wonderful present she could send to her family” and that she had “so much fun.”

Home Manager at Ascot Lodge, Kerry Green said: “It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and raising money for such a good cause so close to our hearts.”
