This Easter was very different at
Ringway Mews nursing and dementia care home, in Wythenshawe, as a very generous donation sparked lots of reminiscing.
Some 50 Easter eggs were donated to the care home Residents by the Leaders In Care agency, in Manchester. Everyone was delighted when these were handed out!
Lilian Scott, who lives at Ringway Mews, said, “This Easter was very different from my other Easters. I spent it here with my best friends (the staff). I was given an Easter egg, white chocolate, my favourite!”
Doreen King, who is also a Resident on the home’s Lancaster House unit, commented, “Thank you so much for the Easter egg. As a child, I always received Easter eggs off my mum, dad and grandma. We also were bought a new set of clothes, which consisted of a pretty dress, cardigan or blazer, a little hat, white socks and sandals. My parents would take me into the countryside for a picnic. This has brought back such happy memories.”
Heather Pickup, Care Home Manager, remarked, “This was lovely to hear and very kind for the eggs to be donated to our Residents.”
