Throughout December, Residents at
Harnham Croft residential and nursing care home, in Salisbury, have been busy preparing for the festivities.
Residents have been Christmas baking, including making their own mince pies and decorating Christmas cookies.
Joyce, who lives at the home, commented, “It’s lovely to be able to do some baking and decorating the Christmas cookies, like I used to for my children,”
Following on, for the Residents’ Christmas party, there was an afternoon of singing and dancing with live entertainer, Dave Dawson. And two alpacas came to visit too!
Residents enjoyed being able to have entertainers back and especially being able to see the alpacas again.
Audrey, who is a Resident at the home, said, “It’s lovely to be able to have live music again with Dave Dawson and have a sing-along and a dance.”
Jim Bowie, Home Manager, remarked, “Great to see the home busy and filled with joy for the festive period. It’s lovely to see smiles on our Residents’ and Colleagues’ faces, having fun and enjoying all the festivities.”
