Seasonal celebrations at Redcar care homeResidents at HC-One’s Roseberry Court care home in Redcar enjoyed a busy festive season this December from Christmas jumpers to festive films.

Roseberry Court supported Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 13th December, which is an annual fundraising campaign in the UK organised by Save the Children. Residents, team members and visitors all wore their favourite Christmas jumpers in effort to raise awareness and funds for the children’s charity. 

To help spread some festive cheer, the team organised a Polar Express day for Residents on Monday 16th December. The day focused on the story line of the infamous festive children’s book which is also a popular animation film, Residents were treated to a day on the Polar Express, with seasonal treats and a screening of the film itself.

Residents were invited to attend a festive service at St Hilda's church on Tuesday 17th December, where they listened to the story of the birth of Jesus Christ and sang traditional Christmas carols. After the service, Residents shared their favourite festive pastimes over mince pies and and seasonal beverages.

Everyone was rocking around the Christmas tree on Thursday 19th December for the annual Christmas party, with two musical shows from the Musical Mad Hatter and Gilly, a seasonal buffet lunch and festive activities for Residents, team members and guests to enjoy.

Roseberry Court Home Manager, Alishia Calvert said: “Christmas cheer has filled Roseberry Court this December, thank you to the team for arranging such entertaining seasonal activities, it has really got us counting down the days till Christmas at Roseberry Court.”
