Seaside theme day at Grosvenor Park care homeThe Residents had fun at the seaside today with a themed day organised by the staff at Grosvenor Park care home.

Colleagues decorated the lounge with a beach background, used the real lovely sea view in the lounge, and even put up a windbreaker in. The Residents had cockles, fish and chip crisps followed by ice cream cones. There was a  British seaside themed quiz and they played ‘sounds of the sea’ followed by some popular beach themed songs.

The activity ended with a game of chair volleyball which made staff and Residents all laugh together.

Residents Joy, Sheila, Mark, Margaret, Jean, Eileen and Liz particularly enjoyed being by the seaside!

When asked what their favourite part of the day was, one Resident remarked, “The volley ball and ice cream. It was great fun and good to get moving.”

Home Manager, Jackie O'Callaghan, commented, “It was great to see the energy from the Residents when playing chair volleyball!”
