Residents at Yew Trees care home in Dukinfield, Tameside were delighted to welcome students from the local school to the home for a story-time session.
Every other Tuesday, students visit the home and are split into groups, ready to read stories to Residents.
Once the stories are finished, Residents get to know the children as they each enjoy a selection of refreshments and biscuits.
The initiative promotes interaction between the younger and older generations, which in turn benefits wellbeing of those living in the home.
One Resident commented: “I really enjoy getting to know the school children, the stories were fantastic.”
