School visit brings smiles to North Shields care home ResidentsAs part of the Care Home Open Week 2022 celebrations, staff from Redesdale Court care home in North Shields paid a visit to Preston Grange Primary School.

Children from the local primary school were very happy to be involved in the HC One ‘Care-E-Oke’ so the staff wanted to give a big thank you to everyone involved.

Staff were invited to the school assembly where the children were shown the video and were given the opportunity to ask the Wellbeing Coordinator question about working at Redesdale Court.

Some of the questions asked by the children were: ‘How many Residents live at Redesdale Court?’, ‘Is it like a hotel?’ and ‘What do they eat?’. The children were really interested in the lives of the Residents and has so many more questions.

One of the children, said, “Please can you tell all the Residents to have a nice day.”

As a thank you for taking part in the singing video, the children were presented with a small gift which was a yellow organza bag containing a mixture of wildflower seeds with a special note thanking them for their help. The children brought such a huge smile to the Residents faces and were thrilled with all their help.
