Santa’s Christmas Eve visit at Market LavingtonSanta and his helper once again spread Christmas cheer at Market Lavington residential, nursing and residential memory care home, in Devizes.

Colin Bull, the Head of Maintenance, dressed as Santa, wearing a very impressive beard! He was assisted by the Home Administrator, Mary-Ann Pugh, who took all the photographs of the event.

Mary-Ann said, “Seeing the faces of the Residents when we walked in, all lighting up with smiles, was so wonderful.”

The Residents were all absolutely delighted with the visits; laughing and smiling as they received their individual, personalised gifts.

It was a lovely morning, and all Colleagues and Residents were full of the Christmas spirit!

There were some fantastic and very positive comments from Residents themselves:

Sally Power, said, “It was a lovely atmosphere and I really enjoyed it.”

Violet Lloyd added, “He didn’t have any elves with him!”

Suzie Hilton was also very delighted and expressed a big ‘thank you’

Angela Wakely commented, “It was a laugh! Though Santa isn’t as big as he used to be!”

Phyllis Shellard agreed, “It was nice, brightens up the day!”

Finally Gordon Grist said, “I liked his beard! Where did he get it from?”

Riaz Ali, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “Thank you to Natasha, our Home Manager, and Mary-Ann for coordinating and organising this festive surprise for our Residents!”

“And thank you to Colin, who had a slightly sore voice after saying ‘Ho, ho, ho’ for the fifty-second time!”
