Sandon Residents travel back in time at Bury Transport MuseumResidents at Sandon care home in Mossley, Tameside took a trip back in time as they visited Bury Transport Museum.

After enjoying a delicious lunch, Residents and staff headed off to see the steam engines and admire the various classic vehicles on show.

Resident Dennis even had a sit in the driver’s seat of an old bus, while others enjoyed looking at the model railway which brought back memories as a child.

The next stop was the railway lines, where everyone got to see the steam train arriving at the platform. They even got the opportunity to board the train and meet the guards.

Resident Tom said: “I enjoyed watching the steam train come in, although it was very loud!”
