Sandon House joins Mossley Hollins High School for carol concertResident at Sandon House care home in Tameside were delighted to join local school Mossley High for its Christmas carol service.

Lynne, Home Manager at Sandon House, joined the Residents for a warm welcome at the school, where they met the Head Teacher and enjoyed mince pies and coffee before the show started.

Residents then got to meet the Head Boy and Head Girl, as well as a group of other students, before gathering to enjoy the service.

The show included readings from the Bible, a performance from the brass band and school choir, and singing from the teachers.

Students at Mossley Hill enjoyed meeting the Residents so much that they have invited them to meet up for afternoon tea in the coming months.

Rita, a Resident at Sandon House, commented: “The students made me feel so welcome and special. I can’t wait to meet the students again next year.”

Lynne Campbell, Home Manager, said: “At Sandon House, we deliver a wide range of activities that enable our Residents to engage with the local community and meet new people. The carol service was a great way of doing this, and everyone enjoyed the wonderful performance by the school.”
