Salford care home Residents sail away on canal tripResidents from HC-One’s Pendleton Court care home in Salford enjoyed a boat trip on a local canal.

Joined by Residents from fellow HC-One care home Worsley Lodge, everyone boarded the boat for a three hour trip along the canal. During the trip, Residents enjoyed the beautiful scenery, fed the ducks, shared stories and ideas for what they would name a barge if they owned one.

After sailing along the canal Residents enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by an ice cream. A great time was had by all with Residents commenting that they loved every minute of the day.

Doris, a Resident at Pendleton Court commented:

“It was an absolutely wonderful day, thank you to all of the crew aboard the Parbold. I am already looking forward to next year’s trip!”

Pendleton Court Home Manager, Ann Gregory said:

“The canal trip is a favourite with the Residents, it’s lovely for them to get out and enjoy the beautiful scenery and tranquil setting.

Thank you to Wellbeing Coordinator, Lesley for organising such a wonderful day for our Residents.”
