Residents at Oldham’s residential and residential memory care home, Avalon Park, love music and today was no exception with a little practice on the ukulele.
Music always has such a positive reaction for Residents at the home. Phillip Bernadette and Patricia, who all live at Avalon Park, made some lovely sounds with a fantastic ukulele session organised by Colleagues.
All Residents enjoyed holding the instruments and playing the small beautiful instruments. One Resident even remembered playing his guitar in his younger years.
Patricia said, “I love the sounds we are making with the ukulele!”
The Residents have requested to do some more sessions as soon as possible, which Colleagues are currently sorting.
John Fullen, Wellbeing Coordinator, remarked, “Music and laughter is the order of the day at Avalon Park, I believe that music is the key to memories!”
