Sacred Heart School welcome Residents for coffee morningResidents at HC-One’s Roseberry Court Care Home in Redcar, Cleveland, were invited to join children from Sacred Heart School where they were hosting a coffee morning.

Peggy Cheung, Sylvia Sorenson, Marjorie Roberts and Jean Boyd were treated to homemade cakes and refreshments, which they enjoyed with the children, sharing stories about school life.

Everyone was impressed with the school building and hearing about the house point system and all of the lovely trips that the children get a choice to attend.

The children enjoyed listening to the Residents telling them all about their school days and were really interested in hearing how time has changed a variety of things in their school days.

The Residents were amazed at how schools have changed since their day, Sylvia commented:

“Oh how school days have changed for the better.”

Peggy commented:

“What lovely opportunities the children have at school now a days.”

Alison Corner, Home Manager at Roseberry Court, commented:

“Both our Residents and the pupils from Sacred Heart School have learned such a lot from this visit today, it’s so nice to see the different generations come together and to create memories with our local community.”
