
Residents at Sabourn Court care home in Leeds were delighted to take a journey back in time to Kirkstall Abbey.
The trip involved a walk around the abbey, with Residents admiring the historic architecture of the building.
Founded in 1152, Kirkstall Abbey is a Cistercian monastery based in a public park on the north bank of the River Aire.
The visit was rounded up with a delicious afternoon tea in the grounds, with Residents discussing what they enjoyed most about the trip.
One Resident said: “I really enjoyed the day at Kirkstall Abbey and can’t wait to visit more local landmarks again.”
