HC-One’s St Clare’s Court Care Home in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham raised a glass to the happy couple this weekend.
Residents and family celebrated the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at the weekend. Individual invitations were sent to all of the Residents to join the celebrations in the lounge and to extend the invites to family members to mark the special occasion.
Guests enjoyed a traditional high tea with beautifully prepared cakes, scones and sandwiches, followed by Bucks Fizz and Prosecco.
A local entertainer came to the home to sing and perform for everyone and all of the Residents enjoyed a sing-a-long and a good dance.
The Residents had a great day, dressing up in their fineries, commenting:
“What a magical day.”
St Clare’s Courts Head of Housekeeping, Jill Catchpole commented:
“The atmosphere was amazing, it was such a wonderful day; the weather was fantastic and our Residents enjoyed their day immensely.”
