Royal Scottish Country Dance Society performs at Brompton HouseResidents, visitors and staff at Brompton House enjoyed a special performance from the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society on Tuesday 30th January.

Everyone watched in awe as the Society performed traditional dances. Once the show was finished the group stayed to tell the Residents and visitors more about Scottish music, dancing, and highland dress.
There were plenty of Scottish delicacies on offer including shortbread, whiskey, haggis and cranachan.

When asked what they liked best about the day, most Residents said the highland outfits and the dancing. Some Residents said it was an ‘amazing experience’ and ‘thought the people and the dancing was lovely’.

Staff at Brompton House work hard to provide activities for the Residents 7 days a week and are already filling up the 2018 calendar with more exciting events.

Erik Muller, Home Manager at Brompton House said:

“It was amazing to watch the dancers and bring some Scottish pastimes into the home so close to Burn’s Night."

HC-One Regional Managing Director, Amanda Scott, said:

“The whole day and the Scottish dancing sounds great! Organising memorable events like this is an important part of how HC-One provides the kindest care.”
