Roxburgh House’s summer feteWith summer slowly beginning to wind in, Cradley Heath’s Roxburgh House have held their summer fete with the aim of raising some money for the Residents comfort funds.
 
The whole of Roxburgh House all got involved with the fete, which included Residents and some of their Relatives. Residents helped with some craft projects for Colleagues to sell and also aided in baking cakes. A raffle was held to raise money to buy items to sell on the day, as well as a raffle on the day of the fete. It had some fabulous prizes of big hampers. There was also generous donations that some Relatives donated to Roxburgh.
 
In all, the stalls and donations racked up a whopping £1700 for the comfort funds! An incredible amount which reflected the hard work that went into making the fete such a wonderful day for everybody. Colleagues dressed up in fancy dress to create a fun atmosphere and the fete was also attended by another care home and some of their Residents.
 
Residents commented on how much was made, many of them quite amazed at the amount, Irene one of the Residents said, “I can’t believe how much money was raised! What a beautiful fete this was”.
 
Linda, the Home Manager commented, “What a fantastic turnout! Thank you to everybody who attended”.
