Roxburgh House supports Marie Curie Great Daffodil AppealHC-One’s Roxburgh House care home in Cradley Health hosted a coffee morning on Thursday 1st March to raise money for Marie Curie.

Louise Baker, Head Chef at Roxburgh House kindly organised the event and prepared some delicious cakes and biscuits to sell at the coffee morning. There was a small raffle, tombola, guess the daffodil, pin the daffodil on the donkey and a sweepstake.

Residents, relatives and visitors attended the coffee morning in yellow clothing or wearing the Marie Curie daffodil. Some Residents and staff went the extra mile with daffodils painted on their cheeks and purchased daffodil headbands that Louise made for the event.

The morning was thoroughly enjoyed by all and raised an amazing amount of £275 for the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal.

Julie Jones, Home Manager at Roxburgh House said:

“I couldn’t be prouder of the staff for making the coffee morning extra special for the Residents and visitors. Special credit to Louise for going that extra mile to ensure a lovely morning was has by all.”
