Residents at Sabourn Court care home in Leeds were delighted to welcome members from the Roundhay Rotary Club for an afternoon of reminiscing.
The visit saw club members getting to know Residents at Sabourn Court, as they asked all about their lives, interests and tastes in music. After getting to know one another, the club ran a group session where Residents reminisced about the past, as well as listening to everyone’s favourite music.
The afternoon was enjoyed by Residents and club members alike, as many Relatives were impressed with how person-centred the event was.
There were smiles all around, especially as former guide dog Millie joined in with the fun and got lots of strokes and cuddles from Residents.
One Resident commented: “It was lovely to engage with members of the local community and remember all the music I enjoyed when I was younger.”
