Radcliffe’s
Rose Court care home held their first summer fair after almost two years and the weather was perfect for this outdoor get-together for Relatives, Residents, Colleagues and members of the community!
Colleagues at the 87-bed residential, nursing and dementia care home, organised for some live music, which was provided by a local entertainer and a ‘Tiki Bar’ which was all stock up with a variety of drinks. There was also plenty to keep everyone entertained, with a raffle, tombola, cake stall (which consisted of homemade brownies, cupcakes and Bakewell tarts, which were all donated by staff and Relatives).
Another popular stall was the arts and crafts which was set up to sell handmade cards, posters and flower arrangements, which were all made by the Residents.
There was a fabulous turnout on the day and a good amount of monies was raised for the Residents’ Fund.
One of the Residents commented how great it was to have these types of summer events after the lockdown in previous years, “Wasn’t it nice to have such a get together especially after the two years we have had, and haven’t we got a perfect weather for it!”
Everyone enjoyed being outdoors and enjoying the festivities with their families and friends.
Lucy Ling, Wellbeing Coordinator, said, “It was so nice to have the family members back to share this experience with the Residents and staff, and they also wanted to thank the staff for all their hard work to make this happen, which was just wonderful for all to hear!”
