As part of the seventh annual Care Home Open Day, HC-One’s Chaseview Care Home opened its doors to the community to take part in creative celebrations.
This year’s theme was ‘Celebrating Art in Care,’ with HC-One launching a national Art Competition to encourage, Residents, their loved ones, colleagues and neighbours to unleash their creativity and design their own masterpiece. Participants could create anything from paintings, drawings, knitting, poetry, calligraphy and pottery – the choices were endless and allowed all talents to be showed-off.
Entertainment was provided as Relatives and friends arrived alongside members of the local community. Arts and craft sessions were held throughout the afternoon for all to join in with, and Residents especially enjoyed getting involved in this.
Everyone then enjoyed various homemade treats including some nicely decorated cakes.
A great day was had by all who attended, with Residents remarking how much they enjoyed the events and the wonderful cakes.
