Roker care home celebrates success in CQC reportFalstone Court care home in Roker, Sunderland has become the seventh HC-One care home to be rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which is the highest possible rating.

The specialist memory care home joined the top 3% of adult social care services with the CQC’s highest rating following its latest inspection, making it one of the very best in the country.

The glowing assessment of Falstone Court carried out by the CQC included heart-warming sentiments from both Residents and their families, including "I am over the moon with the care here” and “They're always very nice. They ask me questions and are ready to help if I can't do it myself."

Staff also expressed that they feel especially valued and respected, one member of staff commented: “This is the best place I have worked at. I am absolutely listened to.” 

Falstone Court Care Manager, Julie Merritt said: “It is such an incredible achievement for the whole team and the well-earned result of the continuous dedication and hard work to deliver the kindest care and support for every Resident.”

Stephen Butterworth, Managing Director at HC-One, said: “I would like to congratulate the whole team at Falstone Court on such an impressive outcome from their recent CQC inspection.
