Roby Lodge Care Home Welcomes Mayor to Celebrate CQC Rating Success
Residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Roby Lodge Care Home in Huyton, Liverpool, welcomed the Mayor of Knowsley, Cllr Frank Walsh, to the home for an open day to celebrate Roby Lodge’s latest positive Care Quality Commission (CQC) report.
 
Roby Lodge Care Home was rated as ‘Good’ in all areas in its latest report from the CQC, demonstrating that the home is achieving high standards in providing care that is Caring, Safe, Effective, Responsive and Well-Led.
 
The CQC’s report praised the Roby Lodge team for their ‘kindness and compassion’, noting that they are ‘knowledgeable about people and what was important to them’, which helps them to deliver the kindest and very best care to the people they support.

The home also received compliments from Residents and relatives, with one Resident stating, “I love the staff. I'm treated lovely", while a relative commented: “Staff put me at ease in the way they look after Mum. I feel reassured. Mum has come on since coming to live here”.
 
The Mayor was treated to refreshments prepared by the Roby Lodge kitchen team, and was given a tour of facilities at the home. Residents meanwhile enjoyed chatting to and taking photos with the Mayor, as well mingling with other guests, which included friends and family as well as members of the local community.
