Robert Burns remembered at Dundee care homeResidents at HC-One’s Riverside View care home in Dundee enjoyed celebrating Burns Night on Saturday 25th January.

Burns Night is a celebration of the life of the bard Robert Burns which is traditionally hosted on the anniversary of his birthday, 25th January 1759. The day also commemorates Burns' contribution to Scottish culture, including his best known work, Auld Lang Syne.

To celebrate, Residents enjoyed a traditional Scottish meal of tatties, haggis and swede with a bag piper and the official addressing of the haggis. Afterwards, live entertainment was enjoyed by all and everyone chatted about their favourite Robert Burns poems.

Lynsey Robbie, Home Manager at Riverside View said: “It was lovely to celebrate Scottish culture and traditions, everyone enjoyed listening to the wonderful sound of the bagpipes.”
