Residents have enjoyed a fun-filled weekend to celebrate both Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day at HC-One’s Meadowlands care home in Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf.
While the home was dressed up in Valentine’s Day decorations, Residents wore Chinese-inspired outfits to combine both celebrations in one bumper day. Residents were able to sample different dishes from a Chinese-inspired banquet, including curry, spring rolls, prawn crackers and various sauces, all washed down with a beer or glass of wine.
Meadowlands Home Manager, Sandra Vernal, said: “I’m extremely happy of the effort made by all, it was a fantastic event. Sprits were definitely lifted and Residents loved seeing the staff dressed up.”
