Reunited with families for double birthday celebrations at Tetbury care homeThere was a double birthday celebration at Ilsom House care hometoday, with two of the Residents sharing their birthdays.

The damp weather did not take away the excitement of the day as both Residents had visits from their families in the garden gazebo, which the team decorated with balloons and banners for the occasion.

Vince Woodman, who turned 83, had a lovely visit from his wife on the morning and even managed to dodge the rain.

Joyce Serjeant, celebrating her 92nd birthday, looked forward to the afternoon visit from her son all day.  Thankfully, the weather was a little better and the sun finally came out for their garden visit.

There were lots of presents to open, a themed birthday cake for each of them, and many renditions of ‘Happy Birthday’ sung by the team as they walked by.

Residents loved being able to see their family. Joyce commented, “Thank you everyone, I’m so excited”.

Tracey Connor, Home Manager, commented, “We are so happy to be able to welcome families back to the garden for visits with their loved ones, especially on celebratory occasions like today.”
