
Retired pastry chef shows off his baking skills at HC-One’s Hartford Court Care Home in Cramlington, Northumberland.
Walter Rygol worked as a pastry chef and a baker from the age of 15 up until his retirement.
He used his skills and knowledge to bake up a storm ahead of Hartford Court’s coffee morning.
When asked about his career, he commented:
“I loved my job! I used to bake everything and it was a joy to be able to do what I love again.”
Hartford Court’s Turnaround Manager, Ruth Todd commented:
“Walter is such a passionate baker and is very proud of his career in catering. He enjoys talking to us all about the different pastries he has made over the years.
It was a privilege to see him at work.”
