Irene Morrison had no desire to venture out of HC-One’s Needham Court in Jarrow, but when she heard the home was planning a visit to Saltwell Park in Gateshead, she jumped at the opportunity.
Having previously been a judge at high profile dog shows, Irene was really excited to see all of the dogs that were being walked in the park. She was also a breeder in her youth and loved reminiscing about her experiences as they explored.
She enthusiastically pointed out all of the different breeds and could explain all about them in detail.
Fellow Residents also had a great day at Saltwell Park, seeing all the wildlife and listening to the birds, before enjoying a coffee and cake at Bewicks Café.

“I had such a wonderful time and I loved meeting all the dogs, it brought back really happy memories for me.”
