A Resident at HC-One’s Roseberry Court in Redcar made a birthday wish earlier this month to mark her 82nd birthday. She wished that Goodfellows, where her son-in-law plays for the band, would come to play for her on her birthday.
June celebrated with family, staff and friends at Roseberry Court and little did she know that staff, with the help from June’s loving family, had organised for Goodfellows to join the celebrations and play for her.
Goodfellows started off the party by singing their tunes and entertaining everyone, especially June who was made to feel very special by everyone. June was thrilled to see the band playing and everyone loved the mixture of songs from the decades, enjoying a sing along to the music.
Party food and refreshments were served after the entertainment and everyone joined in to sing happy birthday to June as she cut her birthday cake.
June was so happy to enjoy her birthday with all of her family, even those from London joining the party, commenting:
“I’ve had the time of my life today!”
Roseberry Court’s Home Manager, Alison Corner commented:
“This was part of the “my wish” campaign and we were delighted to grant June’s wish. The show was fantastic and a great time was had by all.”
