Brenda Duckworth, a Resident at HC-One’s Roseberry Court care home in Redcar wished to enjoy a traditional fish and chip lunch with her brother, Fred, so the team organised a special outing for Brenda and her family.
The team at the care home organised for Brenda to visit the seafront on Thursday 12th September, where she was joined by her dear brother, Fred and his lovely wife. They ate a traditional seaside lunch of fish and chips as they shared memories and laughter together.
After lunch, Brenda and her family visited a local ice cream parlour, Gabriella’s have a lemon top, a seaside favourite for people far and wide before enjoying a lovely stroll along the seafront admiring the scenery as they chatted.
Brenda said it was the perfect end to the perfect day and thanked the team for making her wish come true.
Roseberry Court home manager, Alishia Calvert said: “It was heart-warming to see how happy Brenda and her family were when they returned to Roseberry Court.”
