HC-One’s Riverside View Care Home in Dundee have welcomed two new feathery additions to the home, two beautiful canaries.
Previously Riverside Court had a budgie, but it sadly passed away and the Resident’s decided that they would like two canaries, so that they could keep each other company.
The Wellbeing team arranged the delivery of the canaries to the home and upon their arrival, a competition took place for the Resident’s to choose their new names.
All of the names were put into a hat and the winner was Resident Irene Swankie with the names Fred and George – welcome to the family!
The Residents all enjoyed picking the names for the canaries and commented:
“Their colours are so beautiful! I’m so glad that Fred and Ginger came to live with us.”
